NESTLED IN THE HEART OF LEITH WALK STOOD A LITERARY GEM.

Not just a library; a sanctuary of stories, a haven for knowledge seekers, and the epicenter of a vibrant book club that transcended time. In the late 19th Century a librarian named Mary, an avid reader and passionate Leither, embarked on a mission to create a space where the community could come together, share stories, enjoy great food and listen to tales. Mary rallied the community, and together they created the Brunswick book club. The book club became the beating heart of the community. Every week, members would gather in cozy reading nooks, surrounded by the rich aroma of aged books and the warm glow of antique lamps creating an atmosphere with laughter, debates and camaraderie. Today’s Brunswick book club is a Leith haven standing as a living testament to sharing stories. It continues to unite a community with great comfort food, cold beer, lots of laughter and of course, great characters.

When creating our menu we thought "what do people really want"

We decided to use the best produce Scotland has to offer and make it welcoming and comforting. Breakfast served from 10am-5pm and main menu is available from 12-10pm every day. Drinks and music will be flowing until 11pm midweek and 12am on Fridays and Saturdays. See below for our daily happenings.
